gate is open as of 11/14. quality of road up to gate and then to parking lot is by far best I ever seen-good gravel, no sinking mud.

our 3 and several we met all having a fine time greeting others. didn't care about mud, slush. did have some difficulty with ice above tree line. |

Nice day, some sun and crisp air. goo views below clouds over NH and Vt. /a couple inches of snow/frozen rain eft trails muddy and wet-lower down, be advised to rear waterproof boots, and be careful of wet slippery leaves. about tree line, open ledges were coated with an inch or so layer of unreliable ice, be advised that on this day NOBODY could advance to summit without some effective traction device; even then patches of ice could break away under foot-->significant slip/falls required care to avoid. [NB: weather could change this any day.]
