As an Adopter of the trail, I was up for fall trail clean up, focusing mainly on clearing the drainage bars. Trail was the wettest I’ve ever seen it. Sounds like there was a lot of rain the day before. Shallow pool at sag at 1.6 miles, but only an inch or so deep, so no problem with waterproofed boots. East Hayes to Hayes was also quite muddy and wet, but not that deep, so easy to stay on trail. Mahoosuc down to the south ledges was also extremely wet and muddy, but passable. View from the ledges is terrific! |
