Comments
Comments: After the amount of recent rain, we wanted to avoid water. Trails were mostly dry except small sections; 1-2 in the tripyramid ridge area, and 1 on Scaur ridge; all were easily passable. I did not see any blazing on the trails, but all were in great condition. Scaur Ridge is a great gradual (although longer) trail up to the summits, only steep section is the final ascent to the North summit. About 20 others on the trails today. Several people came up the N slide (and were going down the South); Word was that it was very wet at the bottom, and icy on the ascent (one woman still had on spikes all the way over the M. Tri, but they were defiantly not needed on the Tripyramid trail). Thanks to the family that 'assisted' me in locating the herd path to Scaur Peak. Would hardly call this a bushwhack since the path seems to be well defined. However, it did vanish in a few locations only to be located a little way ahead after searching around. Found the canister at the summit, no views. Likely received snow, co conditions will vary.
