 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Looked like a newer section of switchbacks in the middle section. Will need time to break in, kind of loose and could use some stabilizing, not that I'm a trail guru or anything. Other then that, the trail is in great shape. First time on the newer section from the trailhead, yes I know its been there awhile, I'm no spring chicken. The new location is very nice, a well thought out route, that's really pleasant. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Shay enjoyed all the seep springs for some refreshments along the way. Easy dog trail, Shay gives it two paws up. |

 | Bugs: |
I saw some, but they were very nice and left us alone. |

Last time I did this trail was in the 80's from it's former location. It was a nice flashback crossing the slabs, that used to be great ice in the winter. It's really a nice little peak and it has a great summit. We will do North Moat from the other side, Shay is doing the 52wav, one at a time, no combo's, so he can get in more hikes. Sounds good to me, I just carry the Jerky. |
