Comments
Comments: Beautiful star lit early morning hike of N Twin followed by a spectacular sunrise on S Twin. Travel was quicker than expected due to good trail conditions. i did arrive an hour early for sunrise on S but couldn't think a more beautiful place to be than doing jumping jacks, watching the stars and the colorful predawn skies keeping warm on the lee side of the summit. first spotty ice on trail was noted just after the large crossing. Sporadic semi solid ice flow began at 3560 feet was avoidable for the most part. there are a few short icy spots descending N Twin Heading to South as well as a couple of spots heading from S to BC Trail. very small trace amounts of snow heading up West Bond as well as a couple patches heading down from Bondcliff. All avoidable at this time. Micros along for the views today. i took a small bushwhack off of Twinway to see some phenomenal views of Franconia Ridge. It was nice crossing paths and chatting briefly with Hiker Ed and company as well as briefly chatting with a familiar hiker working on their Grid. Best of luck in December! Trails were quiet today only met 15 people out enjoying this unusually warm November Day
