Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Water: Plenty of water at the pond and brooks along most of Lonesome Lake Trail. The upper part of the hike is dry, so carry water for the last mile. Rocks: The first .4 of the ascent up the back side of Cannon on the Kinsman RIdge Trail is quite steep. Boulder climbing, hopping and scrambling required. Skipper is a good rock hopper / climber... but this route up and down challenged him. Do not bring a dog that is not a confident rock scrambler / climber.
