Comments
Comments: Leaves are down on the flats. Minor spots of trace snow and ice and at upper elevations - these can be passed by simply paying attention. Microspikes went for a ride.

A truly spectacular day: clear blue skies, abundant sun and zero wind. Views on the observation deck were as good as I have seen. It was a day to linger and soak it all in. I actually had the deck to myself for 10-15 minutes and had a leisurely lunch on Signal Ridge on my way out while many were headed up. I think I managed to scoot in ahead of the mid-day crowd on descent as it was fairly quiet going down, save for the few folks still headed up early afternoon. For something different I took a couple of the old sections of trail heading out. Met one person finishing their 48 and another almost there...congrats!
