 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail in fantastic shape. Looks like work is underway to help erosion and more on the trail up South Moat. Recent trail maintenance going down North Moat looked great. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cooper had a great time. Water on the rail is a plus. Some of the steeper rock ledges may be a challenge for some dogs, but overall a great trail for dogs. Coop was the only dog on the trail today. |

 | Comments: |
We did a South to North traverse with a car spot. Although we had a relatively late start, there were only a few (maybe 7) others on the trails today. We had the summit of South Moat to ourselves, and lot of space on North Moat to take in the views; and it was a great sunny day for that.
Mostly dry trails at the lower elevations. We started later on the south facing trails to potentially allow for ice to melt on the rocky slab sections, but did not encounter very much. More ice was found on the North facing descent; several locations were a bit tricky and caution was used to get around many sections of frozen flowing ice. Not enough ice to warrant using the spikes we had along for the ride. |
