Soggy, muddy and some running water on the lower trail. Drier with mud and wet spots at higher el's but no ice. I was quickly reminded what a slog this trail is but I had good weather on my ascent and nice view from the top. Snow showers started on my last mile out which made for a scenic walk out. The trail and trees were pretty quickly covered with about 1/2 inch of snow. I was grateful I wasn't at higher elevation and that it wasn't rain. Hopefully it's not a sign of things to come in the near term and force an early road closure. Time to put the snow brush back in the car. |
