Comments
Comments: 25 degree start this morning. The lower trail has some running water and some mud. The higher elevation was dry for the most part and many mud spots were frozen for an easy tranverse. There was some some ice about 1/4 to 1/2 mile from the summit of Osceola on the large rock surfaces. I did a lot of tree hugging along the trailside to avoid it. There was some ice in other places that was easier to avoid but the trek over to East was pretty much ice free including the chimney. Great views and had both summits to myself. I carried the microspikes but didn't use them.
