Comments
Comments: A nice hike of these peaks starting out in the clouds and spotty snow showers with freezing fog. There was spotty ice patches throughout all trails at upper elevations. One short icy stretch in particular approx 1/4 before Mt Lafayette should be crossed with *Caution. i was able to step on rocks avoiding this to the left otherwise micros would be recommended. Trees and rocks throughout were covered in rime. The first views did not appear until reaching Lincoln. i met no one on the Ridge today until shortly before The LST intersection. It was nice chatting with the couple between Liberty and Flume as well as the hiker that was contemplating descending via the Flume Slide after hearing it was ice free. usually dont give advice unless asked and it was.It was good to know the hiker planned an out and back instead. Micros were dancing in the light winds today but it wont be long...
