Comments
Comments: Quiet and strenuous way to climb Madison on a warm and humid day. The top half of Daniel Webster is rough and steep, with lots of tough boulder hopping, but also some great views to the east starting at about 3700 feet. Lots of blueberries up high, too!

Pine Link is very rough from Watson Junction to where it splits from Howker Ridge, including some rock hopping on wet and mossy rocks, with water running down the trail. Poles were very helpful on this stretch. The trail was much easier on lower sections, with occasional steep pitches and a few uphills. Would have been much tougher if wet. Great to hike again with Tuco, Sapblatt, LarryD and Bobby!
