Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: With the absolute deluge, so much so the Pemi rose four feet since last night, topping out at 6490 CFS, I chose a trail with no water crossings. There is so much water that there is a waterfall in the glades and from the glades to the summit is flowing water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Cleared scores of clogs. There are 2 massive widow maker rocks on KRT in the kitty litter section of doom that with continued erosion might be problematic. I can't see how this trail wont be rerouted in the future, it is so bad.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Three dogs having fun, one dog getting yanked by his leash up the trail.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a blue trek pole about 1/4 mile up, it was there upon return so I carried it down and left at the sign.

Comments
Comments: A fine way to grid out October. T shirt and baby pack szn still reigns. 45 degrees on the summit. Trail is wet leaves but nothing more to the glades, then it is full on flowing water for the rest of the ascent. I have never seen so much water on this trail, not even in spring melt. I contimplated taking the ski trails down but opted for cheap thrills. There are a few new waterfalls in the glades. From the view spot over, there are two spots that are a lake, one is largley avoidable, the other requires an incredibly level of heroics to stray dry. Mostly mud, but nothing horrible. Tower was socked in and windless, which was quite odd. Had my shot of skrewball in the parking lot, kind of wish I had it earlier, that descent was interesting to say the least. What a wild October, thanks to the unseasonable weather, got the 29 needed!
