Good shape. To call this part of The Link a Trail is generous at best. That being said, I can’t wait to do it again!!! |

Well no views at all today. Have had this Loop on my radar for a while. Caps Ridge lives up to its reputation, steep in spots. Today’s weather added a lot of false summits. Tough climb but so fun. Down the Castle Trail not so much. Wet slippery rocks, windy, slow going. Ass kicker with lots of steep descents, very slippery. Raining added to the misery. Once at the Link Junction the suck really started. Tough trail, wet rocks, roots, potholes, poles breaking thru the moss. Tough going, this trail left me sweating, swearing & questioning those who laid this out. One on the toughest trails I’ve hiked. That being said sign me up to do this again! |
