| Water Crossing Notes: |
all water was pretty low. Enjoyed Raymond's cataract and many of the other water crossings. Especially enjoyed the fairly newly rebuilt suspension bridge near the madison gulf/great gulf intersection in the Great Gulf Wilderness :) |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Madison Gulf Trail (south of Great Gulf) had quite a few muddy spots. Wamsutta Trail was very brushy in spots. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I would not recommend this loop for dogs. Wamsutta was too steep. |
| Bugs: |
quite a few near all the stream crossings - very annoying at times!!!! :( |

REALLY enjoyed this clockwise loop out of Great Gulf!!!! Awesome views, especially from Lowe's Bald Spot, the Alpine Garden, and Wamsutta Trail. Great time above treeline with just enough wind to keep the sweat down a bit. Decided not to summit based on time and possibility of T-storms. Afterwards, a quick swim in Nineteen Mile Brook was very refreshing but CCCCCOOOOLD!!!! |
