Comments
Comments: What a spectacular day to be at the high elevations. These peaks seem to always be in the clouds when I am on the summits, but today I was glad to finally have the opportunity to take in the views. Trails on the flats (Hancock Notch and Cedar Brook) have sections with standing & running water, and mud, but it is mostly like putty. Unexpectedly, both the ascent and descent were bone dry, and pretty easy going. Sections of drying mud between the peaks, as well. Grey Jays were out in force on the descent of the South summit, even Coop's barking did not deter them from following us & begging for hand outs. Only saw one other person on the trail all day, heading up on my way out, but I did hear some hikers heading up the North peak as I was nearing the bottom of my descent.
