Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Wow is the Cascade Brook crossing dicey, and the water level is low. We walked upstream about 50 feet around a Boulder in following a few young kids, then walked thru the trees and down about 30 feet to the trail.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Fine, although the upper part of Cascade Brook Tr. near the lake outlet is very rooty, and a few sections of Lonesome Lake Tr are more eroded than I last remember in non-snow seasons.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Just a few today, doing fine
Bugs
Bugs: None!

Comments
Comments: Tracing day under cloudy but eventually clearing fall skies. Harder and longer ascent than Lonesome Lake esp considering the Brook crossing. Tons of fellow hikers. This was another fibula rehab journey with son #1 who came through with flying colors. Always such a lovely place to savor the majesty of the Whites.
