Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Jericho Road: In the few minutes at the start and end of the day while we were at the car, we saw more cars turnaround (3) than parked (2). 302: Lot full. I'd never seen it like that before, especially for a rather large lot.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The washed out bridge on Rocky Branch Trail is a bit challenging, especially if you're on the shorter side. I was able to give my partner a boost up. The river was likely rock-hoppable with careful navigation, or easier if you take your shoes off. The few other minor crossings on Rocky Branch Trail were easy to rock hop over.

Comments
Comments: A traverse from Jericho Road to 302. The closed section of Jericho Road is an easy walk. The washed out bridge near the start of Rocky Branch Trail is a bit challenging as noted above. Otherwise, until Rocky Branch Shelter #1, the trails were in great shape. As we headed up the Stairs Col Trail, we saw the first other people of the day. There were some fairly accessible streams for filtering water in the mid-section of the Stairs Col Trail. The upper half of Stairs Col Trail is a pretty steady climb, and the moss covered rock made for some careful steps. The last push of the day up Davis Path to the Stairs summit was easier than I recall, only a tricky spot or two.

As we headed down Davis Path toward Mt. Crawford, there were a few good spots to filter water. There were a few short muddy sections, but otherwise okay. The descent down from the Mt. Crawford spur junction was steady and consistent, but never too steep.
