 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
parked on small pullover near Durand Lake park. I imagine one could also park along road, but be careful not to block driveways. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Excellent! Great signs, no blowdowns. Trail easy to follow, but for those who find the fallen leaves a challenge, there are great orange blazes to keep you on trail. Thanks, RMC |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Durand Park has stations supplying bags and a container to put your used bag in. Ledge Trail is on property that was given a conservation easement. Not sure what the rules are (you could check with RMC). |

Beautiful day for this (ironically warmer than the rainy 4th of July we spent here). Foliage was perfect, as was weather for this. Ledge trail is a nice way up, good mix of gradual elevation and flat sections. There is a bench about 100 yards before you get to the ledges; good views here. Met a nice neighbor who comes here frequently - thanks for the nice apples from your orchard! Checked out Durand Lake afterward and did the Bee Line on it (will get rest of the Bee Line some other time). This is a great recreation area and the lake was gorgeous as it reflected the multicolored trees surrounding it. Bee Line comes out on Rt. 2, across from Appalachia trailhead. Looking forward to hiking the other small paths in Randolph. |
