Comments
Comments: BEAR SIGHTING Near Gordon Pond Trail/KRT jct. I thought, for some reason, it was a large dog, and approached slowly. It looked up and bounded away, along Gordon Pond Trail. Still thinking "dog" I took a few more steps towards where I saw "it". I thought I would meet the "dog"& its owner soon, but didn't have a good feeling, so I turned back towards KRT junction. I was almost back to the junction, thinking "that was a pretty big dog". Coyote maybe? No they are brown, and have pointed dog ears. This critter was black, with rounded ears like a BEAR. Only then did I realize it was a bear, acting like a bear. I decided to return to my car... I was also running out of daylight. I enjoyed the viewpoints on the return trip.
