Comments
Comments: It was a pretty dismal day for Carrigain, but the rain was not too bad. We managed to stay dry and the temps were constant in the upper 40's. With just one blow down early, the trail was in pretty good shape, and the trees kept the trail drier than we expected. Some mud and slippery rocks, but since there's no rock slides or slab faces, negotiating the trail was easy. No views from the false summit, or the fire tower, beyond 20 feet. Decent temps, blowing fog, enough to put on a light puffy & a hat/gloves.

Lots of folks on the trail, and many heading up late underprepared (t-shirts, no jackets, no packs...???). We passed several as we were coming down mile 3.

Big props to JStocc for completing his 48th 4,000'er today! It's been a long time coming, but well deserved! Congrats!
