Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Said USFS Ranger also has placed several barricades to limit illegal parking on 112, until someone very important moves them to see the views in the rain tomorrow. I was about to grab a spot just after 11. Lots of transient folks in and out to take pictures of a currently very underwheling vista of Osceola & Scar Ridge

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Ran into a USFS I knew out there! They took out two girthy birches as well as did some significant brushing at the bootlet campsite on the summit of South Hancock. They also mentioned they brush in the bootleg trail someone has spent significant time cutting off the summit of South that ends in a diving board. Did also note someone has taken it upon them selves to spraypaint mileage on the trees in yellow.

Comments
Comments: A fine day in the forest for round 2! This grids out both Hancocks for me - my 3rd and 4th ones! My legs did not have enough time in the five minute drive over to seize up so that was a huge positive! Only about a dozen on the trail. It's ripe for speed for the most part, aside from the mostly manageable mud. Ended up catching up with another tramper and our speeds matched up so we ended up hiking together. I was going to go up Arrow but right as I was about to head over there it started to spit, womp womp. Always a lovely leg burner on the way to North. Also huge tip: dont have chicken salad right before hiking. I did the research for you. Trust me. The ridge walk was lovely and during the restricted viewpoints along the way, sensational views where had. Poor South Hancock side of the loop, its getting worse and worse. Can you imagine if this section and the bottom of KRT at the tram lot had a baby? Oh would that be a sight!
