| Water Crossing Notes: |
None were major issues - beginning of S-bridge on Zealand trail a bit under water from beaver activity |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Most trails were in very good shape. Looks like someone has done recent brushing on AZ Trail, yet it seemed like ALL of the clippings were left in the middle of the trail - made for tricky maneuvering and a bit of a mess in spots. A few bog bridges on AZ are also nearing their end. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Hannah had an excellent day - plenty of handouts from her human hiking buddies, chipmunks to chase, and she also discovered that she could eat blueberries right off the bush. Plenty of water except for between the three peaks, but it was cloudy and cool enough where that wasn't an issue. Ascending the ladders on Willey Range might be an issue for dogs who don't feel comfortable with ladders since there is no real way around them. |

| Comments: |
Took a much longer but very scenic and very enjoyable loop to the Willey Range. A bit of sun and good views coming around Whitewall Mountain. Got caught in one passing shower a few miles before Ethan Pond which made for a sticky climb up to the ridge. Limited views from the outlook near Willey but a bit more visibility by the time we hit Tom. Some very slippery mossy rocks in the first 1/2 mile of AZ Trail headed down from Tom. Fortunately the afternoon rains held off until after we were back on route 3. Great day in the woods with Cynthia, Mark, Tim, Val, Andrea and Hannah. |
