Lots of noticeable work being done on the Falling Waters Trail. One section near the water falls was clearly newly re-routed and another section above the falls was tagged with tree flagging indicating work to be donw. There were large boulders in the path lined up and ready to be properly placed. |

The black flies were an issue closer to the summit of Haystack. I got a few good bites behind the ear. |

It has been awhile since I've done this loop. I've forgotten how steep the Falling Waters Trail is! I was also amazed to notice how eroded the trail is. The huge exposed roots and large boulders are a clear indicator of the heavy traffic that this loop sees. Even on the Bridal Path the jagged rock was rounded smooth. Kudos to the trail maintainers for the work they do to keep the trails open for us to enjoy! |
