Comments
Comments: Gorgeous day to be in the mountains! And gorgeous views at the summits- especially from South Doublehead. Ski trail is a steady climb on a wide trail with mostly good footing. Trail narrows after about a mile. Side path behind Doublehead cabin leads to ledge for the beautiful view down to Mountain Pond and Kezar Lake from ND. Steep descent from ND to SD. Very wide gorgeous view from SD starting with the Moats on the far left all the way around through the southern Presidentials, across Pinkham Notch to the Wildcats, a stunning view of Carter Notch and then the Carters and Moriahs. One very large muddy area in the area of a brook nearing the bottom of Old Path which people have walked around.
