Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I believe the correct parking area to use right now is the raised grassy area across Route 2 from the spring. That's where I parked, and a guy was out in a tractor mowing the field, and he saw me park there and head up the trail, and he just waved.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None on this trail.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in very good condition, and the turns at junctions with old roads (and there are many) are signed with arrows. All the rocks were dry, which was a welcome contrast to the trails in the Presidentials. I had no issues following the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I don't see why not.
Bugs
Bugs: Very few.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nada.

Comments
Comments: What a great way to finish off such a beautiful day! From the spring, you can see arrows pointing to go upward along the edge of a field just before the driveway. At the top of the field, there are more arrows indicating to go right and you'll see a woods road - that's the trail. There are more arrows (including one carved into a tree) at the junctions with other woods roads. Further up, the trail narrows to a footpath and soon reaches the viewpoint, which is incredible - most of the Presidentials and the entire Dartmouth Range are visible. And, of course, today there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I sat on the bench up there for a half-hour just enjoying the view.

I did the very short bushwhack to what I think was the actual summit, but there were no markings or canisters of any kind that I noticed. On the way down, the arrows are oriented for hikers ascending the mountain, so try to remember which way you turned at the junctions, and if you don't, then the trail generally follows whichever woods road descends more steeply. This was a very enjoyable short hike, and I want to thank the family that owns this land for maintaining this trail so well and allowing anyone to climb to the top. I really appreciate their generosity.
