Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Moderately easy rock hops down low on York Pond Trail.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Overall the trails are in pretty good shape...down low on York Pond Trail the summer growth is creeping in along the trail. There are various minor blowdowns here and there, but one generational blowdown on Middle Weeks, there is a herd path to the west to go around this one.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Surprisingly a lot buzzing around given the morning temps in the 40s, but the recent rain must've been the driving factor.

Comments
Comments: Quick morning hike of the Weeks. Once on the KRT, one can quickly see that this trail was cut in the 1980s and not the 1880s. I feel like all the early trails reach a point and say, "yeah, ok, up we go!" and just ascend using the quickest line. The KRT from York Pond Trail to South Weeks seems to be cut with the idea that many will have heavy packs, etc. due to the numerous switchbacks and general perpendicular lines along the summit cones. Other than the massive blowdown patches on the north side of South Weeks, the going was good and was a nice day in the forest despite very limited views through the trees.
