Despite the mostly present pea soup above four thousand feet a great hike of these peaks. At the top of GL i opted to head over to N Lafayette to avoid the crowds at which point skies cleared revealing stunning views. After some time there watching the skies i headed back to continue the Traverse. it was nice chatting with a single day Pemi hiker as well as the couple that was hiking the Ridge for the first time. Also chatted with several others backpacking the Pemi. After taking the herdpath shortly after Flume Slide intersection i was on bike path which was less than 45 minutes back to the vehicle |
