It was a good day out. I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis all summer long, so this was a release in no small part. It was good to get back to the 4,000 footer list. Waumbek is fairly easy, but it's still something of a challenge. Don't forget, it does tip upward fairly strenuously in the last bit. A good hike, and if you go a bit past the summit, on a clear day, you'll get a nice view of the northern Presidential Range.
