| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at 19 Mile Brook trail head and rode the AMC Shuttle to the Castle trail head. The drivers will let you off at any trail head which in itself makes the $20 fee a bargain. |

All were crossed without getting my toes wet (trail runners). |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One blow down on Castle, one on Great Gulf. Both easily traversed. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
One pup on top of Jefferson...these trails are hard on pads. |

not one but it was pretty cool (50's and 60's) |

| Comments: |
This hike was part of my Terrifying 25 list, Castle and Madison Gulf. Up Castle, down Madison Gulf which was slow going admittedly due to the steepness and portions of the trail that where running water. Good shoes and long legs certainly help on the descent.
