Comments
Comments: It was a beautiful day for Owl's Head! Met about ten hikers along the way, including one who I happily leapfrogged with the entire day, and one very cool group of over 70 hikers (including one over 80). The trails were beautiful, except for some muddy patches on Lincoln Brook that made me stop momentarily to think about where to step. Water levels on the crossings were manageable. There was no cairn on the summit, but we all agreed we were in the right place. The slide was slidey, and the rocks and roots on Owl's Head Path were wet and slippery. I slowed down and took my time. We all made it in one piece. Soaked my feet and lower half in the cool and refreshing water under the bridge before going back to the car, and it was a lovely end to an incredible walk in the woods.
