Trails
Trails: Kearsarge North Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Monday, August 16, 2021
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: It is a small lot so we got there early, around 8:30am. There were a few cars in the lot and others hikers came up the trail after us. It was a Monday so maybe weekends are more crowded.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: None that I observed. Trail was in great condition
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I had my dog and we ran into a couple others. I thought it was a very dog-friendly trail in terms of footing. No water crossings for dogs to lay in (a few puddles) so make sure you bring enough water. But very woodsy and comfortable.
Bugs
Bugs: A few but not much of an issue
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None

Comments
Comments: The weather was beautiful, the humidity low, clear day. Although it is a steep hike, there are no scrambles and with the nice weather, it wasn’t that difficult. Coming down the same trail, it did seem rockier and rootier than going up (isn’t it always). Loved the firetower at the summit. Recommend this hike.
