Comments
Comments: At the beginning of Glen Boulder we passed by two forest service gals carrying a Wilderness sign up the trail. Hot & Humid climb up to Glen Boulder and air improved once above it. In the trees above Glen Boulder the trail needs some serious brushing. At the Davis Path intersection it was nice and breezy and we could hear the race cars on the Auto Road. March down Davis Path was swell same old mud pits and everyone tries to keep feet dry by squeezing the edges. On summit there were a handful of people around, pretty view day about the clearest we have had in sometime and a nice breeze too. Back on Davis Path we took the Iso-diret herd path until it petered out and then we bushwhacked hitting the Isolation Trail near where the Engine Hill wack usually intersects. 3 hikers that left the summit before we did caught up to us just a minute later proving we didn't save much time but it was a lot of fun. Wouldn't want to do that whack on a wet day we went through some open mossy areas but woods in general were decent. Oh Rocky Branch you'll always be a drag, rock hopping up the trail at least it wasn't a roaring brook this time around.
We didn't know we were on rocket21's 2nd grid finish until he finally told us when we reached our cars at Rocky Branch parking, Congrats Mr. Rocket21.
