Comments
Comments: We've been spoiled this summer for late week/weekend hikers as hot/humid conditions have been minimal. Not today, as the humidity combined with an east ascent of Jefferson meant sunny, no wind, and hot! Six Husbands is very challenging but very interesting. Sphinx is doable going down, but take your time especially since you're in the brook for stretches of time.

This has been a wet summer, and while the stream levels don't necessarily show it, the constant mud and slippery rocks have been a constant this year. And I've made the conclusion that outside the Mount Clinton Trail, the trails in the Great Gulf have the slipperiest rocks of all!
