Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 5 cars when I arrived at 8:00 am, 20 when I left at noon. If folks park efficiently the lot looks as if it can hold about 25+ cars. The sides of Diamond Ledge Road are clearly marked with No Parking signs. If there's no room for your car at Mead head back down Diamond Ledge Road and take a right onto Sandwich Notch Road. Head north about 2/3 of a mile, you may find parking at the Bearcamp River Trailhead. From there to Mead then Israel your RT will be an additional 1.2 miles.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: From Mead Parking the first water crossing you arrive at is the widest crossing, it was hop-pa-ble but could be an issue during and after very heavy rains.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One blowdown, an easy duck-under. 🦆
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The few I saw were wet, covered with mud, but otherwise happy. 🐕‍🦺

Comments
Comments: Once you’re past the first water crossing the trail becomes a mud festival. The rains over the weekend left this trail very muddy and wet! Lots of standing water, mud, more mud, and then more mud. It likely won’t dry out for a while. Regardless there were many out and about and the trail was manageable. Take your time.

The yellow blazes throughout the trail could use a touch-up - especially on the ledges.

The spur to the summit of Israel is obvious, don't be fooled by the first open ledges you arrive at; keep on until you arrive at the spur.
