 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Nice sized lot for about a dozen cars. Arrived at 8:30am, lot was full and cars were parked along road. All that said, it doesn’t seem to be an over crowded lot. When we left at 1:30p lot was half empty. If parking just before the parking lot, near kiosk, make sure not to block access to gate further up ahead. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Water crossing at lower elevation took sometime to identify proper rocks to hop. Otherwise, all others on trail easily rock hopped. Hikers heading up Sandwich Mt Trail reported the lower water crossing as difficult and requiring water shoes. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail was clear and seemed to be well maintained. I say “seemed†because a blaze along the entire path could not be found along entire trail. Path is quite easy to follow but we wondered how it would be in winter. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Great hike for dogs. Lots of water to hydrate and cool down in throughout trail. My only note would be to leash dog before reaching summit cliff. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Not bad today. Just a few of the tiny buggers that like to fly around your face. |

 | Comments: |
Nice simple out and back along Drakes Brook to Jennings Peak today. Trail is a mix of steep and gradual with a final short push to the summit. Views were great even with a bit of haze. There was only on muddy spot closer to the beginning of the trail. Not too crowded on this peak. For a Saturday this one is not overcrowded, we only ran into half a dozen people from start to finish. The views are great on this 52 With a View. |
