Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We arrived at 3:30 am, 4th car in the lot. After descending, at least 50 parked along Tripoli road. Congrats to the late starters who must’ve scored big getting our space after 10:30 am.
Surface Conditions

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All small , nothing to worry about
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in great shape. A few of the muddier spots have herd paths forming around them. Would be nice if a few big bridges could be put in to stop the herding.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw loads of awesome pups today. The only real concern for dogs I guess would be the chimney scramble section.
Bugs
Bugs: Barely any this morning.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing

Comments
Comments: Great way to beat the heat and the crowds is to start early and get up to Osceola for sunrise. Beautiful spot to view the day’s start. We made breakfast and coffee after the sunrise and then headed over to East peak. Trail was usual rocks and roots. Some wet spots along the way. All fine for hiking with care. Met a few great people along the way and familiar faces too.
