Been waiting to do this trail for a while. Scheduled a guide (Pat Ferland) with Red Line Guiding. Pat was great! We had a couple of folks shadowing us but for the most part we had Huntington to ourselves. We summitted Washington in a little over 3 hrs from Pinkham Notch. Going down about the same amount of time. The 'fan' was fun but we didn't follow the painted trail which goes through the puckerbrush. The slab was pretty straight-forward too. I really don't have enough experience to compare this trail to others (ie Flume, North Slide, Holt, etc) but I did love the hike. |
