Trail was in good shape overall. From the upper ski trail crossing to the Dry River boundary was very soft and 2 guys who camped over night appeared to have sled down it in the afternoon making for a bit of a mess. Engine Hill BW is in wonderful shape, well packed and easy to follow. Only crossed the last crossing of Rocky Branch and from there it was well packed.
Someone cut a nice BW from the Isolation trail to Davis Path that cut the corner by the camp sites. If I had to guess Id say it saves about a mile total. Davis Path was in good shape over all.
Saw several others today including 2 guys who camped out, 2 guys day hiking and a group of 10. |
