Comments
Comments: Nice cool and clear day for Owl's Head. Mix of dry, wet and some streaming trails but mostly dry and in good condition overall. Crossings were easily managed despite recent rains. We ascended Brutus BW and descended the slide. We felt descending the slide would be easier to navigate given mud and wet roots on Brutus and also wanted to take in some views. Many others descended Brutus BW. I broke one hiking pole 1/4 mile into the hike - Ugh! I broke the other pole about 6 miles from the end of the hike - Double Ugh!!
