|
 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
One of the first few in the lot on Hurricane Mtn. Rd. early morning but it had very much overflowed later. I intentionally started early as I know how busy this place gets. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Significant |

 | Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Above their respective junctions, Black Cap Trail, Black Cap Spur, and Black Cap Connector are heavily eroded due to very heavy foot traffic. Again, hikers are working their way around rock steps for some reason. |

 | Comments: |
These trails were a mix of dry and damp generally. Black Cap Trail has some sizable mud pits that folks are walking around and widening. The upper ledges were dry. Cranmore Trail has two new mountain bike trails which depart to the north; getting to be spaghetti-like up there.
Steamy air with little wind made for sweaty hiking. |
