| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I was the only one in the WVV Ski lot. I'd like to note route 49 is ripped up and has *tons* of potholes, I swerved to miss one and in doing so hit another. Long story short, my car is on a flatbed right now. |

As you would imagine, the crossings had swollen up with Elsa, but no real issues |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
This trail is such a gem of construction. The stone work and water bars are a thing of beauty. The TM does an impeccable job. Did note some recent brushing. |

A fine, moist, day in the forest! I am working on a new list: "Hike the Alphabet of Tropical Storm Warnings." I now have 6 letters! Wooo! I started about 1530, almost immediately after the rain stopped. No issues during the hike, just lots and lots of water. The waterbars where doing their jobs. Some portions of the trail resembeled a flowing river, it was great fun splashing my way up. Had in and out views on the summit for a brief time. Nice chatting with another couple up there for a time. Of course, blue skies and sunny upon return just before 1730. Isn't that always the way? |
