Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No major blowdowns. Cairns along the ridge are in good shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A few good boys. Someone took a tsi tzu up - he was carrying the dog up near the summit. I'm not a dog owner, but I have heard others say that bouldery trails like Caps Ridge are tough on their paws. Think twice if you want fido to come along.
Bugs
Bugs: Plenty of black flies under the tree line; bug spray deterred them well enough.

Comments
Comments: A beautiful day. Trail is in good shape. A cool 2.5 miles each way. On the easier side if you are experienced, but there are a few tough scrambles and lots of unforgiving terrain, so this is not a beginner-level hike.
