Nice sugar bush, the best I've seen in the Whites. The spring at 3400' is pretty much dry, a tiny trickle. Take your own water. Quite a few hikers today, must be Waumbek Wednesday. I couldn't resist stopping at the Jefferson General Store which has some of the best pizza in the state....and they were also twisting some cinnamon rolls for the oven. Hard choice to make but the pizza was a good one. I may go back for the rolls and coffee soon. What a great part of the state. |
