|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Plenty of room at ski area. |
||Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Crossings 1 and 3 are low and easily crossed. Crossing 2 is dry (though often the case in the summer post-Irene). |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||A few mosquitoes and black flies prior to the evening rain. |
|Lost and Found:
||Trails had dried out following last evening's intense storms, however it rained again early this evening (thunderstorms stayed just south), making things wet for the descent.|
Noted some freshly cut stumps at the summit; reported to the WMNF this evening.
Ski trail grass/weeds are very high, so gravel access roads are the way to go if venturing over there. Wild strawberries are ripe.
