Nice hike for a hot day on the way home. Took Brookbank directly from the end of the parking lot. It merges with the Presidential Rail Trail for a few hundred yards. When we came to a junction with Sylvan Way, we took that until it came to Howker Ridge Trail. Nice walk in the woods! Back tracked and went up Brookbank to Tama Falls, crossed over, and took Fallsway (which merges briefly with Valley Way) down to Brookbank and back to the parking lot. Had not done that section of Sylvan Way or Brookbank before. I thought all three falls were better accessed and more easily seen from Brookbank. If you want to leisurely enjoy these falls I would recommend Brookbank and despite the current drought they are running well and beautiful. |
