Comments
Comments: This was an attempt to see the flower show. Thanks to kind people on this website and Reddit, different areas and the flowers there were mentioned. Depending on the weather and my lack of speed, we were going to go early, and maybe up Lion's Head, peek at the Alpine Garden, head over to Boot Spur. However, rain (and later thunderstorms) were predicted. So we ended up visiting the Hermit Lake area and then climbing the ravine as far as the snow. Had not been up the ravine in 21 years and it was reassuring to find that I found it lest challenging than way back in 2000. Nice to see remnants of the Snow Arch. A few people had headed up to ski. Met the volunteer from the forest service and had a nice conversation. Saw some nice flowers place to place on the trail. My remarks about the standing water on the trail were after it had rained.
