Comments
Comments: Nice day for a long, slow hike. We started at Caps Ridge trail and ended up at Appalachia. Probably passed well over 50 hikers. I guess Friday is the new Saturday. No water to speak of along this route except at the Madison Hut. Peabody Spring had some water but nothing flowing and looked stagnant. The croo at the Hut was cooking up some tasty lasagna and enchiladas. There were several through hikers enjoying those treats after eating trail grub for days on end.
