Sarge had a blast rock hopping up and down the rockpile. The rocks can be tough on dogs pads so if your dog is not experienced on rocks it is best to leave them home. |

Opening day for Tucks. Went up Lion Head, as we descended USFS was removing the upper closed sign for Tucks so we headed down the headwall, closed sign is still up at the bottom of the mountain but the trail is definitely open. Snow arch / cave visible heading up from lunch rocks to the switchback, a few big blocks have already crumbled so don't venture under or on top of it as it's a ticking snow bomb.
Quiet and beautiful morning on the rockpile, cool temps with a nice breeze on top with pretty sweet views. Ran into about two dozen hikers on my way down all happy to be out. One dude told me this trail is brutal on my dog, looked to be brutal on you buddy, Sarge had no issues as usual. :) |
