Perfect day...warm, nice breeze all day, views for miles. Hardest trail was the Yellow trail, steep but in great shape for an Unmaintained Trail. Beautiful Trails all day. Signage was great on all trails, very easy to follow. Walked right over the summit of Rowe without realizing it. Lingered on the rocks in the sun for a bit before heading over to Gunstock. Don't miss the view point, beautiful view of the big lake with Mt Shaw in the background. Another nice spot with picnic table just below the turn for summit looking west. Only 10-12 at top. Sat on deck of the pub in Adirondack chairs had lunch & just relaxed. Not many on the trails today, maybe 20 total. This is a great hike, very special day in the Belnaps!! |
